It’s time to whine! Dancehall production team Black Shadow and one of soca music’s most beloved stars, Rupee, today release the official music video for “Tipsy,” the perfect club banger just in time for the summer. “Tipsy” is now available on all digital service providers on Ultra Music.

Behind hits such as the genre-bending multi-platinum selling “Gimme The Light,” Troyton Rami, ½ of the Black Shadow production duo, is one of dancehall music’s most accomplished producers and songwriters. Winning a GRAMMY Award for Sean Paul’s classic album Dutty Rock, he’s produced and written on Kevin Lyttle’s album Turn Me On and worked with other chart-topping artists such as Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder, Lady Saw, Mr. Vegas, Tanto Metro & Devonte, and the list goes on.

Says Troyton about directing the video for “Tipsy,” “I wanted a video that could cross all borders and make the Caribbean masses feel connected. The video gives off an edgy vibe of Trinidad and Miami with my splash of the Jamaican dancehall flavor.”

Equally accomplished, Rupee is one of the Caribbean’s most successful artists, being one of the few soca artists to impact the Billboard charts twice; once with the global hit “Tempted To Touch” and again with “Do The Damn Thing.” Rupee continues to tour all over the world taking soca music to Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Costa Rica, Panama and the UAE to name a few, and has worked with artists such as Shaggy, Rihanna, Khatera, Alison Hinds, Daddy Yankee and more.

“Considering that the track initially exploded in the Caribbean, it was important for me to see that support and culture represented visually,” Says Rupee on the official video for ‘Tipsy.’ “Troyton, Walt and the team truly captured these elements perfectly. The video will resonate with audiences regionally and abroad.”
